Default Hid in winter months?

I have 6k Hid headlights. I have question about driving during winter months. How much differences between halogen vs. hid in snow weather?

If possible, can you post up hella lights at night so i can see any differences with headlight?

There's no comparison as far as halogen vs HID.

The question you should be asking is 6k vs a different kelvin color temp in HID.

Higher the kelvin, the less ouput you get as well as reduced visibility in inclimate weather. 6k is significantly worse as far as ouput and visability compared to factory temp of 4300k. the diff. is like 30% where as 5000k is only a reduction of 9% compared to 4300k.
Even at 6000k, your still going to see better than any halogen, but you will be uch better off with a lower color temp for inclimate weather regardless. going down to 5000k, you will not only gain brightness(21% more than 6000k, but you will see better in inclimate weather.
4300k is the bulb chose by most car manufacturers because that's "daylight". Going lower than that will yield excellent sight in rain/fog/snow but most cops will pull you over with yellow lights. Anything below 4300k, the color goes yellow real quick.

I would say drop some yellow colored halogen bulbs in your foglights and you'll be good to go.

You can still stick in a yellow bulb on the stock fog lights. a Halogen colored bulb. Luminics has a very true yellow that i had on my mustang and did awesome in the fog!

Hellas in a snow storm will only Blind you. They are not made for inclimate weather as I have tried to see how they would do. Driving down the highway in a heavy storm last year, they were totally blinding.
The only way to see better is by getting an Amber or Yellow light. Amber/yellow lights go right through white snow and fog to project on the road ahead. they are a softer color as well.

I'm tellin ya, just buy THESE and put them in your foglights or else get some replacement bulbs for your hellas in a yellow color. Here

Not sure if you have 9006 fog bulbs like i do??
