Default Brilliant Black parts for my RAM

Next week I'll be buying black head and tail lights along with some other small things. I have a 2007 Ram 1500 Laramie so it's got some of the chrome stuff I don't like. I want it to look like a sport with the painted front and rear bumpers including the grille and chrome accents on the side. I was wondering if any of you guys know where I could buy a Brilliant Black rear bumper, front bumper piece to replace the chrome one, grille and the two accent pieces on the sides of the doors. If you can't buy Brilliant Black pieces, would I just have to take it to a body shop to get matched and painted? That also brings up another question though, would I still be able to power wash everything? Especially the grille and all that since it's plastic.

-Thanks

yes the sport ones are plastic and painted from the factory. you just have to wait about 3 weeks for the top coat to fully cure. as far as the bumpers check ebay or maybe find some one local that wants a chrome bumper and trade them. the flat black st bumpers are easy to have painted. you could also put a roll pan on for the rear bumper. you can pull your door spears off or paint them on the truck plenty of people have done this. most parts you buy will need to be painted. i have also seen people take off the chrome piece and paint it to match. pxr isnt available in a rattle can so you will probably need to have it all done. might as well have them do the mirrors and wiper cowl while their at it.

Hey, I have the same ram and want to do the same thing. The grills on the 07 dont come aftermarket black but on www.lmc.com they have a black one factory for the 06 to 08. The black ones came on the 2500 dodge rams. I have the black headlight covers and they are sick. There stick ons not the clip ons. And for the tails, they dont sell black light covers since they are the bubble type. You will have to paint them or buy black led tail lights. Hope this helps, THanks

Some people have painted over the chrome. I got the ST grill and bumper and had them painted along with the mirrors and door handles and other stuff.

I painted my headlights, inner grille, and tailgate spoiler to match, used some duplicolor truck/van/suv metallic black. Not an exact match but pretty close. Our trucks have an almost violet glow in direct sun. I also VHTd my tails, and think im going to "dust" that metallic black over the vht. It looks damn good I think

I am getting my rims/bumpers/spears /grille powder coated in December hopefully. Its the way to go, will hold up better than paint and will be alot cheaper. All of that for $350 here

Sweet, thanks guys this info helps out a lot. Looks like I'll just get my grille and handles painted then my bumpers powder coated. How much will all this cost you think if I take it to a body shop?

*Edit*
I forgot to add, what should I do about the long chrome pieces on the doors? Can I find after market ones that will match the Brilliant Black or will I just have to get those painted at a body shop too?

-Thanks

you could probably find someone with black ones that would want your chrome ones...and I got the quote on 350 for all of mine

The paint is gonna be the kicker, unless you have a buddy....I am looking forward to seeing yours if you get it done before me, might change my mind on the grille being powdercoated
