That is where the cones come in, if you are working and you put cones out they wont tow you or at least not right away.

Do any of you have any ways to prevent this? I heard there are none, and figured there has to be something being that we have huge heavy trucks?

And no a holes that say " dont park in an illegal spot", you dont always know its illegal
- Get a parking sticker?

- If there is no sign that prohibits parking in certain areas but they are really prohibited, that needs to be brought up to the owner of the complex.

The complex should have given you one, otherwise where else would you get one?? Sounds like there is more to the story.

Sounds more like he is either parking in a complex that he does not live in or visiting friends or something like that

The park in 4wd thing doesnt work. Ive had a tow company break the lock on my jeep to put the transfer case in neutral after the thing rolled off the back of the tow truck. My truck has been towed in the same situation-being at a different apartment plus no sticker- I honestly dont think theres a way around tow companies doing predatory towing. Just cross your fingers and hope tonight isnt your night to get screwed.

if they want it, they'll take it. 4wd and ebrake won't do much cept maybe brake a transfer case, ebrake or if you're lucky just flatspot the tires. once they're hooked they're gonna take it.

I'm not exactly following the story entirely here, are you parked in the apartment complex that you live in? If it's where YOU live, you should have a parking sticker confirming that the vehicle is owned by someone residing in that complex, if that's how they run their business over there. As for you getting towed where there are no "no parking" signs, there is something more to the story.

Holy **** man what are not understanding. Have you never gone to a party at another persons apartment complex? Where are you going to park? Oh **** in the parking lot.. but wait you dont have a sticker, what do you do? You get let in and then towed when the dicks come around and see you dont have a sticker.

Thank Jesus that I am not the only one to ever visit someone in an apartment complex. I just was not going to respond, but that was exactly what I wanted to say
