A 2nd battery will help when the truck is turned off so the drain from the lights will be disbursed betwene the 2 batteries and not just one. Also, you must have enough alternator power to fully charge both batteries within a reasonable amount of time.

If you run dual batteries, your best bet is to go with an isolator so that it DOESN'T disperse power between the two batteries, that way if one goes dead you can still start your vehicle. The point of the second battery is purely to power auxiliary equipment, and the first battery is for startup, if the second one drains it doesn't start to drain of the first one.

You can get close enough to cook an amp. Most are made to run at 2 ohms, right? Four four-ohm speakers in parallel will get to one ohm, which is pretty close to a dead short.

Im good with Ohms and Power Law. My point was that no matter how many you add in parallel you would only keep vutting the ohm level in half and no matter how many halves you kept cutting you still wouldnt be down to zero. It was more of a senseless joke. I know most amps are only good for 2ohm with some down to 1 and even less HCCA amps like Hifonics, Orion, USA Amps and a few others that will go down less than 1.

You may want to upgrade your power and ground wires in the the engine bay. also on the the amp thats usually the prob. Save you money on the cap.

Why do you need so many lights? With that asked. Everyone has been focusing on the amp, However, You realize HID's use less than half the power for more than twice the candle power.
