rydesolow, 5870 on a unmodded 5.9. I hate to say but as far as the second gen forum has told me your probably gonna start floating valves and stuff at that rpm. I raised mine to 5400 which is what is the recommended. 5870 I think is just a bit insane for a stock 5.9.

Lol, I like to live dangerously. Besides, when it breaks, that means it's time for an upgrade:-)

And yes, a CAI is on my list.. for sure. Everyone agree that K&N is the best route to go there?

And, I will be getting the accel coil. It runs at 40,000 volts! The MSD coil was only 32,000. Don't know what the stock coil is, but I'm sure it's junky.

I have not experienced any hopping or chirping. And I like the DTT over other LSD's because it is a worm drive not a geared lsd so therefore it has less wearable parts.

So if anyone out there wants to know some highway results of the superchips 3815, + the rotor and cap I just did.. I used to drive 75mph at 2,100 rpm in my truck. Now, today when it has snowed 18" so far, I tested her out on the highway for the first time with new tune and she goes 85mph at 1700rpm, with a LOT of power left in her, she wants to keep going. In 4HI I was doing 75 at 2000 rpm. Big difference IMO - and that's pushing 37's. Also seeing better gas mileage.

what is your average mpg? mines been down lately. I'm clueless to why. I'm down to like 9 average on the screen. I'm not dragging any brakes nor burning oil so I'm clueless.

I got MUCH MUCH better MPG by simply so far doing this:
Superchips 3815 tune (fixes timing, gets rid of deathflash)
Straight exhaust(muffler delete)
New distributor cap with new rotor (easy fix)
New MSD spark plug wires
NGK Iridium NGK IX spark plugs

Also, I don't even have a cold air intake yet. After I put one of those on, I'll see even better MPG.

Also putting on a 52mm throttle body, new roller rockers 1.7's, electric fan mod, and a TB spacer
