front end squeaking
my 07 ram 1500 qc 4x4 has had a squeak/clunking type of noise in the front end for a while now and I can never figure out where it is coming from. It's definitely coming from the drivers side, I'm almost sure it's the shock absorber itself making the noise. If I go over a speed bump slowly, as the suspension compresses down it makes a loud squeak. Any ideas?? Is it a good possibility the shock absorber is just toast?
my "struts" as of 06 dodge got rid of shocks in design on our 1500's 2x2 an 4x4 models softer car like ride they were tryin to attain. were crap and leaked alot and drvr side was blown out totaly by 30k squeaked badly. I used monroes sensa tracs part num 71111 if i remem right....
just completely removed the sway bar off the truck to see if that was the problem, still same clunk/squeak. Got the front wheel off right now, sprayed the hell out of every pivot/ball joint on the front suspension with penetrating spray to see if it helps. Gonna let it sit for a few and hit it again with the spray
