Default Tow/Haul Mode, do I have it?

This is probably a very dumb question but the other day my friend and I were out and he asked how the tow/haul mode works. I never used it before so I said don't know but let's find out. I hit the button and nothing happens. I thought there would be a light that turns on in the console or shifter but nothing. So is there a specific way to activate this or is this there for looks on the V-6 model?

Isn't your truck a manual Twink? I think only automatics have the button or whatever for tow haul, but being as my truck is a manual I can't help you.

yea...i have it it too. the first button push = tow/haul mode....then push it again, it's o/d off.

i may have gotten those backwards. but in your speedometer console, the two lights that come on should be in the bottom right.

check your fuses...

those yellow boxes are where the lights should be. but if you wanna test it, cruise at like 50mph, then push it twice...see if it downshifts or something. that means everything is working, just not the lights. (once you turn off truck...it all resets...so, if you're in tow/haul mode as you are driving, then you turn off car to get gas or something...when you start car again all will be reset to normal)

I'll have to try it out tomorrow when I drive the truck. I've been out sick all week the maybe the flu but pretty much better now. When I pushed the tow/haul mode before no lights came on on the cluster. Is the fuse for the tow/haul mode under the hood or under the console?

Also would those lights light up when you have the key turned to the "on" position before you start the truck?
