maybe just spray some chrome spray paint on like a paper plate and then use a q tip and touch the areas up?

yeah i was thinking chrome paint too. even if it is a different shade of chrome it will be less noticable then black. another thought was to just paint that part black, but loose the reflection..?.

Might be a stupid idea but you might be able to dampen the tape with a bit of water so it doesn't adhere as well? Idk if that will work or not but it's a thought.

Defore putting the tape on put it on your shirt the lent will make it not so sticky than barely put it on thats what I did and mine chipped a little like yours and. I cant tell that they are chipped when they are on the truck.

First off, Ive NEVER seen chrome paint that looked good. Secondly, I would look for a set of headlights that are damaged or broken that you can get the inserts out of. The last and best option is to let me retrofit soem projectors in there for you so you can paint the whole thing and not have to worry about that problem anymore. ;-)
