Default HID kits that actually work

I'm just wondering if anybody has found any HID kits for their trucks that are under $200 and actually work and are full plug-and-play like they're supposed to be

I got a set from apexcone and tried about 4858745 different things to get them to work and they'd always shut off and flicker and had no high beam...

Anybody have any luck with projector headlights as well? I was thinking of getting a set and then getting the H1 HID kits for it but wanted to make sure there are actually HID kits that WORK and dont require a lot of extra work

And if you are interested I can custom retro you a set of real projector headlights. But as for HIDs, there are many many threads on this and how to make them work for you. Its really not as hard as some make it to be.

damn that retrofit setup is pretty sick. I was lookin at eBay ones but everyone was saying not to get them. aren't they pretty much the same as the more expensive ones? just OEM versions.

I'll have to check out that hidextra site, no flicker problems?

Dude, Weed that setup looks like it came that way! How much would ya charge a guy to do that, and would HID's work with that setup? If so, what type of HID kit would I need? 20 Q anyone?

The ones from HID are cool. Just make sure they give you the harness to interface with your ballast so they wont flicker.

The ebay projectors are way different than OEM retrofits. They arent really made for HIDs although some people will use them in them. But they do not provide the sharp cutoff that quality projectors do
