e-fan mod?

Default e-fan mod?

i read on here somewhere a while back about the e-fan mod, but i cant find it now. can someone point me in the right direction? trying to find out which electric fan is recommended for our trucks, or if it even matters...

The most popular ones I have heard of using are the Taurus fan and the Black Magic 180 Extreme. They both do the same thing, its a matter of how cheap you wanna be.

They take some of the stress off of the motor caused by the clutch fan.

they free up wasted power. right now my fan (and probably yours) is powered by the motor as an accessory. when you switch to an electric fan with its own motor its one less thing for your motor to have to turn. plus it's quieter

check out the link dodgeramguy85 posted for hammer's step-by-step instructions. i've done the mod on other vehicles in the past and it wasn't difficult as long as you have the correct fan. cant imagine Rams being any different
