Hey guys, I have mad a couple posts about this before cause I have done a ton of research on it. The 2k remote turbos are badnews, after researching em I would never get one. I would say get the procharger if you get anything, makes roughly 450hp on a stock motor which the stock tranny CAN handle, it is intercooled, comes with all the fuel system components needed, and has GREAT tuning surport. I believe i spent 5.5k boosting my Ram and it was worth every cent.

How ever if u push more power than the 450hp u will have to baby it until you put a built tranny in.. and like some one suggested go with the Sheradon tranny which you can get through www.moesperformance.com (Go stage 3 its awesome)

I am still in the researching process so any info you could pass along would be great. What makes the remote turbo bad news?

water ingestion. that's bout it. check out youtube for ram with sts turbo. sounds sweet and runs sweet. also a yellow rumble bee hemi with procharger. sounds just as great! my opinion, I say pro charger. turbos are little cheaper but turbos are more for high reving engines making top end power. don't think you'll ever be on autobaun so go with sc'er for light to light romping.

You can choose a smaller exhaust housing for low end power or a larger housing for high end power or anywhere in between. I use a 'smallish' housing for day to day street use but will be purchasing a larger one for the track. (cheap like $150 each and 2 minutes to change) My rear mount air filter also sits around knee height (without the provided snorkel kit on) while I am driving and I would hope most people wouldn't drive through water that deep! I would say superchargers are better for people not necessarily mechanically inclined and want to drive without tinkering. Turbos have much higher potential and flexibility and make it more enjoyable as a hobby.

The transmission will need to be addressed, although it seems tuning / electrical issues kill the clutches more often than not.

Who told you turbos are for high rev. engines? Thats wrong. Did u know centrifugal superchargers are rpm dependent?
