Default Supercharging my Ram

Hey, I am considering buying a supercharger for my 2006 Dodge Ram 1500 Hemi. It claims to increase the horsepower by 50%, which would bring the horsepower to 520 plus the horsepower gained by tune, cold air induction, and Corsa exhaust.

I know that the supercharger wont fit under the stock hood, so im going to buy a hood with the scoop.

My question is with all that horsepower under the hood, will I need to replace anything that is too weak to handle that much power?

everyone always says they are gunna get a supercharger... i have yet to see someone on here buy one.
i'm pretty sure it will fit under the stock hood. what are you looking at? procharger, kennie bell?
after reading your post, i think you have A LOT more researching to do before you buy one. IMO that is a lot of power to be running through a stock tranny but im not sure what other options are out there... you may want to think of a higher stall torque converter since the stocker is junk
if you can afford one, go for it! you will have one bada$$ truck

Get a different tranny. These stock ones can't handle that much power. The supercharger won't give you that much power unless you replace the pulley with one that pushes enough boost to give you that much horsepower increase. And the supercharger will fit under your hood, they only rub on hoods that have the thick padding on the underside of them.

There are several guys over on HTC and VTCOA that have them. However, I hope you understand that are NOT cheap. 4k+ to start.

yea I'm thinking about getting the procharger. I have found them online for about 5 grand. I am willing to spend 10 grand on this project.

Maybe you can find a tranny in a junk yard and have it built for performance, maybe a 2K stall converter. Then add an underdrive pully for the belt system and e-fan.

Sheradon performance makes killer built tranny's for like $2k plus exchange. Not sure how their name is spelled, but it's gotta be exact for a google search. You'll want a stahl converter as well.

$10k is a nice chunk of change. You should be able to build yourself something nice with that amount of money. Make sure you post up some pics when you get it all installed.
