My stock cats were pretty restrictive. I went with spintech high flow cats and love them. I have JBA Headers, Spintech Cats, and now I have true duals all the way out.

Gears will certainly help, I have 4.10 gears and love them. If you plan on running boost, I would say 4.10s. As for the cams, your stock heads will support them. HO cams are a direct replacement. 206 Cams requre lash caps. Anything 212 and beyone will require beehive valve springs, lash caps and custom tuning.

Aren't you runnin 206 cams? LOL. How much of a gain am I gonna see runnin HO cams? Essentially then wouldn't I have the same result as the 4.7 HO that came/comes in the Jeep Cherokee's?

So, Spintech high flow cats eh? Hmmm. Well, I will certainly have to look into that further. You know if Texas didn't have this stupid "yearly emissions" testing, then I would just get rid of the cats all together. Just go with headers on out to dual mufflers. But, with me having to submit to a yearly "breath test" aint no way I'm gonna alter those results. LOL.

Thanks for your input though. Got alot of good advice.

Stock cats (at least on the hemi trucks) are not restrictive at all and can be opened up to almost the full width of the cat if needed (WAY to big of pipe if you open them up that much though lol). When we did mine over the weekend we opened them up to be a 3" in/out, you can see through the cats on my truck (dont know if the ones for the 4.7 are the same or not) and built the system back.

Deleted cats also made my truck sound like crap and lost some of my lowend till I got them back on and opened up.

Flowmasters are a baffled design and do hurt your performance, they may sound good, but are not a performance muffler. If you really want something that will flow good look for a straight through design like the aero 3030 or the borla setups, both of those look like a straight pipe when you look through them.

As for the 4.56 and 4.10 gears, they do the oposite of what you would think they'd do as far as mpg goes, you should actually get better mpg with them over what you have now.

Yes, I have the 206 cams. With a good cam tune, you can see 25-30 RWHP with 206. Here you go, Spintech cats

Thanks fellas, I'm not liking that supercharger though. LOL. I'm a fan of turbo's myself. I feel they're more reliable. I don't believe that my engine should have to lose power in order to run a supercharger, when a turbo doesn't rob any power from the engine. It just takes advantage of exhaust gases to run it. Yes, to some extent you have turbo lag, however that all depends on the size of the turbo, and it's location from the headers. Plus, like Blown287 said (I hope it was you), depending on the size of the turbo, your gonna make more hp per PSI than with a supercharger.

As for someone saying that V8's and turbo's don't get along.......not true sir. The guy that most of my engine work on my Z28, back on the east coast (ELD Performance) Brian Bossone, Has a single turbo 5.0 that ran low 7's in the quarter.

I don't think it matters which engine you have a turbo on as long as your set-up is correct for what your trying to achieve. I'm not looking for anything crazy, however I would like a full interior truck to be able to smoke a vette. LOL. Not really, but it would be nice.

Realistically, I would like a full interior truck to run 11-12 second 1/4's and still be able to run as a daily driver.

Thus why I believe a Turbo setup, whether single or twin, is gonna give me that.

With all that being said, Blown287 your truck is friggin bada**! I would love to have something that could hang with you! LOL. One can only dream eh? LOL.

Thanks, guys, for all your help. Much Appreciated!
