Died just like that
Everything was fine on wednesday. I drive the truck to work, works perfectly. Then I leave it for the night on my driveway and can't start it in the morning. I know there wasn't much gas in the tank but the reserve light wasn't on yet.
Electric works fine,radio on,lights on.Engine crank but won't start.
What can be the problem?
I try to start it with my key and with remote starter...same thing.
Please help

why don't you try and pour 5 gallons of fuel in there. if you run the gas down to 1/8th tank al the time, that will eventually burn up your fuel pump. When you turn your key on, can you hear your fuel pump priming? should only last like 2 seconds so keep your doors and ears open.
Is there any other way to check the fuel pump?

Are you getting enough amerage to the engine to start it. I've had problems with past cars where I had a bad ground strap, or corroded positive cable that kept the engine from starting. Everything else might work, but it's just enough to keep the ignition system from firing. If filling the tank, and verifying your pump is not at fault, then I'd look for an electrical system issue.

guy on my ball team always drove it low on gas and well today, him and his dad spent 2 hours changing out the fuel pump in the parking lot in the rain. His truck electrical worked and everything and the truck would try and turn but wouldnt fire up... Sounds similar, I think
I've always run my fuel tanks down way past the light coming on and I've never burned up a pump. Now if the light comes on, and I fill it just until the light turns off (like if there is never more than 5gal in it) then I might be able to believe it would burn the pump out. I completely agree that the fuel in the tank cools the pump. I have just never seen anyone that actually burned up a pump that way... Just my $.02
