hey, if youve been cranking on the engine with a good battery and the engine is cycling slow maybe you should throw a charger on it for awhile to top it up. If that doesnt help then it sounds like an ignition/electrical problem. Do the dash lights dim when rotating the engine (after charging the battery fully)? What is the mileage on the truck?

Check the battery cables. Both ends. sounds like a bad connection somewhere. Should turn over quickly with a good battery. If they check ok, the starter may be on the way out and not cranking fast enough.

On a side note, I have seen bad crank position sensors cause no spark and no spark.

Just for kicks, check all of the fuses in the power box under the hood.

Sometimes it sounds like it almost got it. But then just dies. Is my fuel filter located in the tank?

your fuel filter is located along the frame rail underneath the truck...go to the gas tank then follow the lines out until you get to the fuel filter

ALl Ram filters are in tank. They are abnormal from most vehicles.

You sure you got spark?

Should last as long as the pump does. Most all gas stations have filters in the system between the tank and pumps.
