Default Roller Rockers

I have a 2002 5.9L v8 magnum. I'm looking for a good set of roller rockers.. Anybody have any experience putting these in? I want to go with a 1.6. I know I will need taller valve covers, that shouldn't be much of a problem.

I found a genuine mopar kit with aluminum rollers 1.6. Comes with everything, even pushrods. I think I can do the valve adjusting myself, I'm not too concerned with that.. Just wonder if anybody has toyed with different brands, experience in power gains, etc?

Let me know what you guys are thinking.

BTW: Stock Cam.

Stock rockers on the 5.9 magnum motors were 1.6..... We all seem to like Harland Sharp 1.7 rocker rollers. Even our section mod is featured on their home page. They are worth looking into.

Yeah, no noticeable power increase from just switching to roller rockers and staying with the same ratio. Just a bit less friction/drag.

^ Yea, I think the main thing you would be going for by using the stock ratio is to get rid of the 5-7% variance between each rocker, right?

Unless you're using an aftermarket cam there's no reason to use 1.6s or adjustables. Harland Sharp 1.7 pedestal mount rockers bolt on and fit under the valve covers.

Yep, but I would go with the HS pedestal mounted 1.7's as well.

go with 1.7 harland sharps, they act as a mini cam , its easy install and noticible gain down low, you may want to look into the fastman throttlebody too...

Yeah I thought we had 1.5's, my fault. So the 1.7's fit and give a little more down low? I think I'll check them out then, I think that's next on my list. How well does the fastman throttlebody work?
