Default Torque Converter Code

Trans was low on fluid & the Trans temp light came on. My Son mistakenly put "multiuse fluid" in it. I added 2 more qts of the proper fluid. Now my check engine light is in & the transmission isn't working properly. The code is a torque converter code. Could the 1 qt. of multi-use transmission fluid do that?

i would imagine if it started acting up and not working right shortly after putting it in it could have something to do with it, or if you were low on fluid for a while that may

I think it is more of a side effect from being low and overheating it. Probably gonna need an overhaul soon.
