You still running a resonator or something? I have the long Magnaflow that comes in the #16700 kit and it isn't quiet/boring. Just not raspy or hollow like the Rustmasters.

I have already tried the flowmaster super 44 and the flowmaster 50 hd, and both dissapointed me. The super 44 wasn't loud enough but droned like a mother, and the 50 hd was pretty nice, but I could have used something with a little more noise. I was thinking about just going with the good old original 40 series, but before I jump the gun I wanted to know what are some options you guys thought would be unique and interesting. I do have the exhaust cut-out, but I hardly use it; I don't really care for the sound.
Do you know anybody who has a truck that you like the sound of? You should try to find a truck that you like the exhaust note of and then buy that muffler. Otherwise it seems like you are just wasting money buying all these different mufflers and never finding one you like.

Yeah, mufflers have always been my weakness lol. I thought the combo of the exhaust cut-out and a quiet muffler would suffice, but I'm just not feeling it. I hardly use the cut-out because it just isn't smooth enough for me while I'm daily driving. I feel like my truck dogs while it's open, but maybe that's just in my head. The magnaflow sounds nice, but it begins to sound like a 4 cylinder car after a couple of hours driving around with the annoying hum with little to not tone variation.

Based off some of the input I've gotten, I think I'm going to give the cherry bomb extreme a shot. From what I hear, a lot of you guys claim it doesn't drone; which surprises me since it's a single chambered muffler. I've tried tons of Flowmasters, so maybe it's time I give cherry bomb a shot. The Aero seems a tad expensive and I don't think they offer it with a dual outlet muffler either.

no they dont. i found that out as well. but i did find at summitracing.com you can get a magnaflow dual 2.5" intlet and 3" outlet y-pipe stanless steel to match the aero for like 28 bux. the muffler is pricey though: i found myself saying the same thing.
