Pyro, I have a connection for gettin some gears, do you know how much, on average that is, it would be to install the gears that I already have?? Also, I have an 02 1500 4.7 Is the LSD problem you referred to only for the 08' like the other guy has? Or is this a common problem for all RAMs?
Also, as far as the transmission gearing and whatnot, Since (i believe) I have the 45rfe trans, cant you just get a TCM from a dodge with the 545?? I thought I had read that the stock 45rfe can become a 545 if you just swap out the tcm. If this is true, going from a 3.55 to a 3.92 (what I want to do) and the TCM swap, I really shouldnt lose any mileage at all on the highway.... I would think anyways.... Is anything I said correct? or even make sense??

To be honest, I don't know enough about transmissions to answer your question about TCM swap. I do know that you can swap a 45RFE for a 545RFE and they'll bolt right up, you just need to reprogram the PCM. As far as the internals are concerned, I don't know.
The LSD problem is common to all Rams, really to all Chrysler LSDs in AAM axles. A stock LSD isn't guaranteed to fail, but it is a common enough problem. Just install should run you about $100 for the install kit, and $200-300 labor depending on the shop.

lxman your truck has a hemi right?
I know the Hemi Rams all shipped with 545RFE transmissions, but 4.7s are a different story, my truck has the 45RFE, and a .75 overdrive gear, the 545RFEs have a .67 overdrive. The 4.7s shipped with both transmissions depending on the year and options.
I used to have a Flowmaster, it was absolutely miserable at highway speeds, so I bought a Cherry Bomb. It's loud, but not headache inducing drone. And you're quite welcome, it's nice to see a thread that isn't "hai guyz can i fit 35s with a level kit?"

I think that's the only trans available in 08 on any engine in a 1500.

After taking a cruise on down to the 4wheelparts store I'm getting my gears installed at I took notice to my rpm's truly for the first time and I run at 1500-1800 rpm's at 65-80mph . . . guess that's my 3.21 gears at work, so I can't wait to see my gas mileage after the 4.56's are installed ^^ grant it I do mostly city so it should see a slight rise, or hopefully w/o complaints stay the same
