Default vibration when turning

I have a 2006 1500 SLT 4x4 with 65K on it. Every now and then I get a vibration when I pull out from a stop. It only happens when I turn. If I turn the wheel at the stop sign and then pull out I get the vibration. If I can roll forward and then turn after the truck is turning there is no vibration. If I keep going slow through a turn (non stopping turn) there is no vibration. I do not feel the vibration in the steering wheel or the peddles. It feels like it comes from below the seat. The vibration only last maybe a second or so. There is no hesitation in the accelaration. As soon as you straighten the wheel out the vibration stops.

Can anyone help out with where I should start looking?

Thanks

check your cv axles. When they start to go bad you get a random grinding/vibration when turning.

Could be the LS clutches in the rearend chattering if you have limited slip.

I'm having the same problem on my 05 4x4. I have the 7 yr 70k powertrain warranty. Would either of the two options above be covered by the warranty?

your problem is the limited slip additive probably burned away especially when towing. Throw TWO tubes of limited slip additive in there and call it done. I went throught the same thing. Our lsd sucks and replacing it for a aftermarket clutchless one like the tru trac is expensive, around $700+.

Yes, both should be covered.

Are all you guys observing the 15K service interval, on both front and especially rear diffs on 4x4's?
Most important that you do.
A full pull of the pumpkin cover and inspection, should be IMHO, a must do with the stock lsd's in these trucks.
The clutch retaining clip gremlins, WILL get you if you don't and most probably will anyway.
Regular inspections at the 15k interval, will catch it hopefully early.
Al.

I have been changing the fluid in the rear end. I can't say every 15k but I have changed it 3 or 4 times. Is this something I need to get looked at right away?
