so watch this youtube video i just found and tell me what u think.this guy uses zip ties to make the throttle open more when pressing the gas,thus giving more horse power.i would think that this would also make your truck go through gas quick.

makes sense, stretched cable over time, results in not being able to go WOT, but not gonna help with a fly by wire hemi also seems like it would effect idle..

well thats the thing, it works, he essentially tightening the throttle cable, wich theres normally an adjustment for, if you have an older 4.7 they still have cable throttles, so maybe its stretched a lil bit, take off ur intake and check it out....

just found out my friend did it on his mustang with little clamps and he said he noticed a little difference

did the same thing on my old ford ranger. pretty easy way to tighten up your throttle cable.

Did the same thing on my B2 with the 2.9, when I swapped in the 4.0, it's throttle cable wasn't stretched..

You could also replace the cable which is at least safe. You could also shorten the cable and crimp a new end on.

has anyone seen the throttle cable on our motors. the thing is NOT thin. seems pretty hard for it to stretch over time. but thats just for my 07 4.7
