Default 2500 u joints?

it seems that my u-joints are finally failing, i hear some poping noises every once n a while at slow speeds, now onto the fun part, i know how to change u joints with a retainer clip.....how do you change the u joints on the front D-shaft?? i know they have some sort of burn out typ of retainer, i should be able to get that with a regular propane torch or something of the like right? and how does it go back in??? maybe some 1 has a FSM for a 2500? cuz yeah haynes has allmost nothing in it for a 2500 thanks guys

A propane torch will work.heat it up untill both "ears" have no more plastic coming out of all 4 holes( 2 on each side) and then its like a regular u-joint. then the new ones are held in with the regular clips. If you havent done a cv before I would suggest buying a spare joint while at the store. They become second nature when you do alot though lol. Also check your axle u-joints as they are common on the dodges as well. good luck.
