Cannot be disabled unless maybe with a starscan or other dealer type tool. When you clear the error, it comes back a couple minutes later. Would've drove me bonkers.

Yeah, I can't deal with that, and with me running winter tires and steel rims 6 months of the year, it doesn't make sense. I found out today on the drive home from the dealership that my OTIS does have does have the instant MPG display as well as the AVG one because it's a 2002, but I still want an EVIC.

Update: I put one in and ran with it for awhile. Programming functionality is great, temp and compass work, but DTE and Avg mileage do not.
