no i was running them off of the hu. till my amp came in. even the hu pushing them was night and day over the stock infinity set up. shiloh crossovers seperate the signals so the highs go to the tweeters and the lows go to the woofers. that way you arent putting any bass to the tweets and vice versa. a much cleaner sound. my uncle has an 08 w/ infinity and he was amazed at the difference. he has not heard it since the amp was hooked up.

Hmm I like that, I might have to look into those. You prolly already said it but what brand tweeters are those and how hard were they to install there? They look factory btw very professional looking setup.

Ouch, I'm nailed with the 9.75% sales tax on ebay through paypall as well . . . but I guess with free shipping and the lower costs off ebay it makes up for not getting it from another site that's just as expensive or more and still getting hit with the tax. I swear I've gota move outa this state asap. (More than likely wont happen I love my coast too much )

sorry shiloh i must have missed this but those are the alpine tweets that came with the component set up. very easy to install. i bought a 2" hole saw from walmart measured where i wanted them and took a deep breath and cut a hole in my truck. you can find the tweets alone on ebay just search alpine

it is a tight fit. i used a wire hanger and took my time. i know there is a better way but that is what i had handy. the rear were a little more of a pita. you have to remover the seat belt with a big torqx i dont remember what size. just take your time. i think it is worth it. on a side note my brother blew his speakers in his envoy and since i am always bragging about the type-r he talked me into selling him the set out of my rear doors. no biggie since the fronts have plenty of umph. i am taking the money and putting it towards subs and an amp i will replace the rear speakers later
