so ive read the diy like a thousand times and i think im ready to do so i just need to go buy my paint and just do it....now with that said can yall post some pics close ups of your heads i wanna see the differant areas yall taped off to paint i dont like how in the diy they saved all that chrome....just want some ideas on how much i need to tape off.....thanks i want mostly pics i know ppl have beat this and how this and how that... maybe a few tips included but mainly pics thanks guys......

get really light adheisive tape. i have seen it pull the chrome off. you will need to leave some of the chrome around the actual head light for reflection. paint to whole turn sugnal if you want. when you pull it apart the surround for the head should be serperate from the rest it attaches to the black part of the housing. so if you want just paint the whole chrome part black, no masking required

yea get really light tape and maybe put them in the freezer. chrome peels of easily

 

thats my dilemma now if i paint the whole thing and leave one chrome bowl for the actual headlight or mask em off for both bowls to be chrome.....or mask off just the whole h/l bowl to make 1 large chrome bowl....or what thats why i asked for diff pics of what everyone had done....

 

ok guys advice time.... paint the whole blinker bowl or tape off the section thats the bowl but looks like a backwards c (like nim81's white section leave that chrome)....... and have both "bowls chrome" what do yall think?

about time someone had some advice .... the appearance supervisor spoke up....thats what im thinking i have some tint left over from my tails and was needing a push.....anyone else i will do this by the end of the weekend so anymore opinions.....

i plan on painting my reflector and leaving only the little stripe in the middle of it orange. i thought about molding them in and smoothing it out to look flush but that seemed like a lot of work. i would leave both bowls chrome for balance. but you seemed as if you wanted more black
