I have the Terra Grapplers. Got them from discount tire. They were cheaper there than ordering them online and then taking them someplace to be installed. A lot of folks on here really like the Cooper LTZs too.

I agree with xill on the powder coating. I have seen silver trucks with black rims and it can look good. But I think on a silver truck the silver rims really set off the tires nicely.

I like your thinking partner. This was my original thought, to tapeoff some kind of design, instead of hitting the whole wheel. I reckon the smartest thing to do would be wait and see what they combo looks like as the wheels are, then if Im not happy enough, I can dismount/remount the tires and get the wheels blasted.

I have yet to see another Ram around here with the same 17's as mine. All the other ones seem to have a flat, I guess satin finish to them. Anyone know whether these might be year-specific wheels or anything?

Thanks again for all the responses fellas, I believe my questions are answered, for now. Now its time to hunt down the right leveling kit, and get it all put together!

Brought up from the dead, I recently in the past month or two bought my boss' old stock 17's off of his 06 4.7L qcsb which are a TOTAL upgrade from my stock 17" steels and I'd say they are the exact same ones you have so you're not alone, but I do believe they were year specific.

But when I finally get around to saving up the money I'm gona LvL her out and either get 295/70r17 ntg's and stick with my new stock rims or go with the ATX Artillery's (17x9 so the 295's would fit just fine I may even go with 305's or would that be too tall for 2.5" level?) in the black finish. I already converted to 4.56's and am Loving it so far.

Btw any update on what you decided ?

The only problem with a 35" tire on stock rims is bead break, a 35-12.5-17 (or 315/70/17) on stock 17x8 rims is ok if you just do street driving and don't corner hard, but take the risk of the bead breaking when going off-road in an aired down situation and hard turns. Would need a 10" wide rim for safe fit.

Can't the tire wall hit the upper A arm? That's what I thought, but could be wrong.

It could if you don't have enough backspacing. I have the stock 17x8 rims and with my 295/70/17 NTGs I have about a finger's width between the sidewall and the upper control arm. But they have never rubbed.

I have the same thing Deviate. I'm running the same tire on my factory rim. They haven't rubbed for me. Yeah, you could go to 305"s but if you won't have as much room in the fender wall for suspension flex for say if you're wanting to do a little off roading. The 295"s seem just right for me. Discount tire has good deals on the Nitto's right now too!

I'm looking to get 33" Nitto Terra Grapplers on 20" XD Rockstars for my 04 1500 2wd. Will those work?
