I have always been a fan of Flat black. You know like the color of LineX without the gloss coat. I have always been a fan of the stealth factor of just plain Flat glossless black.
Im not as stupid as I was when I was a kid So I would never do this again, however, I pulled 118mph the whole way from Ozark, mo to Tulsa, OK once in a old Galant that had been painted completely Flat black with the lights off and blacked out at about 3am. You could not see this car unless you were right on top of it. I think I freaked out a couple of people because you could see them swerve as I passed them.
You know that Batman movie where he turns off the lights and goes into "Stealth mode", There is some truth to that and I did it fisrt.
I ultimatly ended up totaling that car in a dukes of hazard wanna be stunt, lol. But I sure do miss it.

Yeah, I hope so. I am sure about the 426. The paint I think I'm sold on as well. IDK, we'll have to see. I would like to see someone photoshop that color onto my truck. If someone can do this, and make it look "right", then I will post up a new pic. For you to work on that is. LOL.
I thought that color was one of the illest' paint colors on the market right now.

I think, if and when I re-paint the truck, I'm gonna do ghost racing stripes. They do them by adding a darker base coat to the mix for those passes where the stripes would be. I've seen a few bikes done up with that technique, and I'm here to tell you that sh*t looks friggin slick! So, I think I'm going to do that as well, like I said, if/when ever I do re-paint.

Not to sure about ghost stripes with a candy color, I almost think that would take away from the overall paint theme but thats just me. I rarely see the "candy" paint style combined with ghost stripes / flames and of the ones I have seen I have not really liked.
There is going to be a nice big car show here next weekend (Goodguys Rod and Customs) that usually has quite a few hot rods and old muscle cars that have the candy paint jobs, I'll see if I can find some with that combo of the candy apple red and ghost stripes (or flames, not what you are looking to do but should give a similar idea of how it will look on a larger canvas) and get a few pics of them if I can find them.

Thanks!
N, yes I know it's gonna cost an arm and a leg. He painted a guys bagged regal and he charged him like $2000. So, I know it would be more then that for me. But, if it looks good on the truck I may do it. I don't have to worry about scratches while at work, I parked in a parking lot that's surrounded by barbwire and has limited access, like only LEO's park there. Plus the whole parking lot is video monitored and recorded 24/7. I don't drive anywhere when I'm home, we take my wife's car. It gets better mileage. LOL.
