Default 06 Ram fuel pump runs w/o key

Anyone have any idea as to what would cause my fuel pump to run 24/7? I have a 2006 1500 with the 5.7 and about 25k miles on it. The battery was dead so I just replaced it without even thinking about a key off amp draw. Put the new one in and the fuel pump started up just by hooking up the new battery. If I pull the IOD fuse, the pump will stop for about 30 seconds and come back on even with the fuse out. Any ideas? Thanks.

try resetting the pcm.

Is it still under warranty?

Did you try to put the key in and start the truck?

How do you reset the pcm? The truck is out of warranty by 2 months. It runs and drives fine but when you park it and turn it off, the fuel pump runs until the battery is dead.

Just unplug your battery for abour 15 min. That'll reset it.

Well I had the battery out for at least 15 min. so I assume the pcm has been reset. I can't find a relay for the fuel pump. I was told the relay was an internal part of the pcm? Can anyone verify that. Thanks for the help.

Check your owners manual, it'll be in the fusebox under the hood.

Did that first. There is no fuse or relay listed for the fuel pump.
