That's wrong, too. The 4.7 is cheap enough to replace. The Hemi's PCV valve is a bit pricey. I've cleaned mine a couple of times. Probably time to deep-six it, though, at 102K.

ok so i checked amazon,ebay,advance auto,auto zone and napa - no one sells a pcv valve for my 05 ram 4.7 - can anyone send me a link to a site that has it? thanks

A lot of us also take off the TB and clean it as well.

Puts a negative pressure on the crankcase which helps preserve seals to a certain extent. The main purpose is to take oil vapor from the crankcase and inject it into the intake for it to be burned off in combustion. An emmisions thing of sorts.

I bought the PCV valve for my 4.7 through Oreillys. They had to order it but AZ and AA both were convinced that my truck didnt have one as well, even when I showed it to them they just shrugged their shoulders. I think Napa may have them too.
