Default is this normal?

i wanted to change the spark plugs today and when i took the air intake out i thought it may be a good idea to clean the tb so i took all the bolts out turned it over and saw an oil type residue on it,now is this normally supposed to happen and eventually turn real dark and stick to the tb or is this oil? when i took the air filter out it to had a small amout of oil looking residue as did the small tube going in to the air box.the dealer did detail the engine and it was shinny looking,so is this just the oil from what they used that over timer maybe got into it somehow? check out the pics and let me know what u think.also real quick- whats the easiest way to remove that little air hose connected to the tb? i twisted it and pulled on it and tried to use a flat head screw driver but i couldnt get it off

It's just oil. Happens over time. To make it to your airfilter is a bit of a journey, but i would change your PVC valve if you haven't already. Air filter is fine.

Nothing out of the ordinary having that build up on the back of your TB.

It should be on the neck of the oil filler tube. It's a plastic cylinder shaped at a right angle that connects to the oil breather hose. You just have to rotate it 90 degrees counterclockwise and pull straight out to remove it. It's like $5 for a replacement.

What a surprise. 4.7 PCV valve is on the filler neck. 5.7 is on the passenger side of the motor near the firewall.

Order it online or through another store or the dealer. Advanced Auto told me that it wasn't serviceable.
