Default diy pvc cai - video to follow...

i went to home depot today to buy all the pvc for my cai but before i make one i want to know one thing. when making your own cai out of pvc,is it better to keep the pvc as straight as possible or can i have as many bends as i want in it? i saw one that slightly curved out of the tb them went straight all the way to the passenger side headlight area then down behind it and another one that did a 90 degree out of the tb then went about 2' straight then another 90 degree and another 1'-2' followed by another 90 degree down to the air filter behind the pass headlight.i think the one with all the 90 pieces looks better but its way more pipe and turns for the air to flow through so im not sure which way to go with it. anyone have a cai that may know?

You want it as straight as possible for the smoothest flow possible.

ive got a flex hose on mine and its all twisted and f'd up. seems to work great. i am going to redo mine to pvc when i get my truck back. but for the best flow i would think the straightest, shortest path would be the best

Stock flows just fine. The Hemi hat is not restrictive. Save your money.

Your CAI ain't gonna help mpg's either. been there, done that. I got the same results with my K&N drop-in filter. The 4.7 hat is fine too.
No, they don't moan loud, but I have a Magnaflow to make noise.
