Default ram 1500 6 inch lift with level kit?

Hello i am new to this forum and have been trying to find the answer to my question for a couple days now before i put my lift kit in, I have a 2004 Dodge ram 1500 and it has a leveling kit in it and i sit 2.5 inch taller in the front and now i have just purchased a fabtech 6 inch lift kit from top gun customz and was wondering if i can put the lift kit in with the leveling kit already in or do i have to remove it? and will keeping it in with the 6 inch lift put to much stress on the IFS front end?
thanks in advance, Trevor.

Sorry Trev, but your 6 inch will replace you level kit. I suggest you just sell the level kit and pick up a body lift kit if you want more lift.

I dont think thats entirely accurate... you should be able to run the torsion keys regardless of the lift kit. The front will sit 2.5" higher because most lift kits are built to level the truck out. Just run a bigger block or add-a leaf if the kit didnt include that already. You could also back the T-bar bolts off a bit to lower the front relative to the rear but the ride will be super soft... It would be cool to see how that combination of parts would work on a 02-05 ram.

He doesnt have a 4wd if he has IFS so there are no T bars. I have an 04 with a with a lift like yours and leveled. You can see from my pics it can be done.

You can click on the links in my sig for more pics and details on my mods/lift

Yeah just because you have 4WD doesn't mean you have a straight axle.

Yes, you can keep the leveling kit on. Im already doing the same thing. I have the fabtech 6 in lift with the add a leaves on the rear, then i added new leveling keys to the front to get 2 more inches and 2 in blocks in the rear as well. Ive had it on for 25000 miles so far and havent had any problems. I was worried that the cv joints would be at to much of an angle but there just fine, and i do take it through some pretty nasty stuff when im hunting.

My understanding was that 2wds have IFS and 4wds have SFA. Was i told something incorrect?

Yes, 4wd 1500's have IFS

4WD 2500's have Solid axles.

2WD have IFS. Unless you are a 2500 2wd, then I think you have a solid dead axle. I could be wrong on the 2500 2WD. Not on the rest.
