Default code p0420

So my check engine light is on again in my 06 ram, giving me a code of p0420. anyone had this issue, and what did you do to fix this.

Yeah this is what the dealer said as well. but they want to charge me 1700 bucks (canadian) for just the part alone. RIDCULOUS. trying to get away with not paying that.

$1700 for a cat!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! There are laws against price gauging here!

You can pick up near top of the line high flow cat for under $100, and have a decent exhaust shop cut and weld it in for you for about $50-75 labor!!!

canada sucks!!!! that allot of $$$$ for a cat, hell guys in mt area cut them off and throw them away from the get go .

One thing i have heard is that if your cat is starting to get a little clogged, take it out and drive it hard and long to make the engine work. Its said to burn out whatever is in the cat
