i have a 2007 quad cab. it is the vanilla color with all chrome and everything, but it has the ugly black front bumper. i know the 2008s had the front bumper painted the same color as the rest of the truck. what are my options for mine? is the one i have now paintable? thanks!

use photobucket and copy the code for one...if its a black painted or flat black bumper you could have it painted its the chrome parts that are hard to paint alot of people are powder coating them and having luck with it.....its a def move for me....

 

just have that piece painted to match...

 

the guy i was going to get to paint for me said i should buy one from a 2008 and he will paint it. he said it wont be very glossy because the black one is textured. what do you guys think, and maybe a part number?

That is on one of the lower packages. As you get into the newer models, it seems that more of them have black bumpers even in an SLT package. What package is your truck? And you should definitely color match your bumper.

 

its SLT big horn. i have got some money to do some stuff to my truck, and i want to do this as long as it wont cost too much. this week i have bought remote start, 2 10s and an amp, and nerf bars. what should i do next? i like those projector headlights, but what do you guys recommend.

 

Yep, that black just doesn't go with the color of your truck, I'd paint it. I don't think it's such a big deal that it's not glossy, just the matching color would be a big improvement.
