Yes, some are. I was stopped at 2am on my way home from a late shift at Walmart when I was in college. Made me do a sobriety test and everything. Wrote me a ticket for running a stop sign which was BS. The cop wrote on the ticket that he didn't even see brake lights. This particular stop sign was at a T intersection on campus. If my brakes were not used, I'd have crashed into the lobby of a dormitory. Lying a-hole.

But MOST cops are not. Most are just doing their jobs and only farming stats on busy roads because their supervisors expect it. There usually isn't a hard "quota" but there are definitely stats.

the one time I got pulled over, I drifted around a stop sign in the middle of no where, and a cop gave me a warning, I was also doing 90 in a 35. He didnt have time to radar me lol

Edit: wasn't in this truck, it was in my old nissan, I do not drive this one like my last truck.

I tend to keep at least 1 speeding ticket on my record. The last two I got was a month apart (16 miles over the limit and 18 over) my court dates where in the same week at the same courthouse 1 1/2 hr away so I call up the clerk and ask if I can pay both tickets with 1 check or do I need to write separate checks for each offense....after a long pause the lady said she would have to check so she put me on hold. Got 1 in OH about 16 yrs ago the cop clocked me 110 in a 65 and could have took my butt to jail but he went easy and just wrote it for 84 in a 65 so he wouldn't have to write a reckless too.

20 and you just got your first ticket? wow. Impressive.

I'm 20 as well, and lets see...... I've had 1.....2......3.....4.... Yea, 4 of them and about 10 written warnings and about 20 verbals.

First ticket was when I was 16.

Was in my Cousin's 2000 Pontiac Trans-AM, headed home on the interstate when my phone goes off- I have an alarm system hooked up to a barn at home that is temperature sensitive- Air conditioning for the cattle (don't ask, you'll laugh)
Knowing that I had a $10,000 animal in the barn in a 100 degree day means death in about 30 minutes. I was 40 minutes out. My cousin had just got done throwing a cam, heads and a tune on the red bird and I was test driving it. I proceeded to throw my foot on the floor to try to make up time to get home. I passed a cop that was standing still at over 140MPH in 65. Knowing I was toast, I just pulled on over and waited. About 30 seconds later, here comes Barney Fiffe like the world was coming to an end. Once he called base, he got out of the car and asked," Why did you stop?". I just told him that I knew I was busted, so why act innocent? He laughed and in the end, decided to write me for 94 in a 65- 29MPH over, and in Missouri, anything over 30 is considered automatic involuntary man slaughter. Went to court, and ended up with 10 hours community service and $27.16 in court fees. Gotta love small towns.

The second ticket was for 50 in a 35, the third was for 77 in a 60, and the fourth was 90 in a 70.

Not one of those tickets made their way on my record. I had a lawyer shred two of them, and did community service for the other two.

As for the warnings.... speeding, reckless driving, excessive acceleration (In my truck for that one), and probably some other things I'm forgetting.

I just got my first speeding ticket at the end of october, and I'm 21 next week.

Any who I was on my way home from work saturday after about 5ish and the traffic is all backed up as theres a football game just ending and its really close to my work, so I'm stuck in stop and go traffic and wanting to get home ASAP. So I turned off on a side street and started and kept going then I went through this intersection(Green light) and I see a flash in the rear mirror then 2 more, Realizing I just got my picture takin by a red light camera, I had my ticket sent in the mail to me by the end of that week. 82km/h in a 50 km/h zone $278.
