Bad tie rod ends
Nice!!! You may not want to go back to the Ram after that. hahaha Yeah, there's a place on OBT near downtown that pretty much only does suspension work. Nix and Black. very good guys that haven't ever screwed me over on price. Leesburg is a nice little town. I guess the big question is, since you were on the Turnpike in a fast car........how fast did you get her up to. lol
Well, there was alot of traffic and the eternal turnpike construction zone didn't help me out much...at one point I almost made a move to get to open road, but didn't. Sure enough about a minute later I looked in my mirror and there was a cop 2 cars back the whole time.
To answer your question I hit 90 merging. It dyno'd at 210 maximum speed though lol. If it can actually do that on the real road, who knows...

Very sweet. So they should have your truck back Monday? Of course for some reason there's a lot of OCSO and OPD. Especially out on the East side near UCF. Man, must be nice to have all that muscle at your foot.
I got it back tonight...ugh
They only got one done in 2 days because they couldnt get them out. So I got it back w/ a good drivers side Moog joint and the bolts instead of rivets but still vibrating when braking and now as a bonus I have started to hear a sort of clunking/rattling when hitting bumps. They said they thought I need a new passenger tie rod end soon and in looking at the bottom of the pass. caliper and tie rod it looks like either it was beat on w/ a hammer trying to loosen it...or I don't even know.
They charged $219 (they spent about 16 hours, $140 in their own supplies and aligned it) the guy said he was almost in tears after fighting w/ it for so long.
If this new noise didnt just start I would be OK with everything but after all that trouble...wasted gas...wasted time...inconveniencing of my dad...I'm annoyed. Are they really THAT difficult??? He said he called 2 other places and they said it's $1100 to do them.
The guy seems honest enough, but I think they just weren't setup w/ the right tools and guys to do the job.

Yeah, they probably used a hammer to pound out the tie rod end like i did. Only I hit the spindle. They may have damaged the tie rod end trying to get it off by hitting it instead of the spindle. I never asked is this a 4x4 or 2wd? No, they aren't THAT difficult. I got mine out of a 5 year old truck in my garage with a hammer and some penetrating fluid. Take some more pics of your suspension when you get a chance and post them so we can check out what you got going on under there.
I figured out the clunking! there's a rod that kinda connects from the strut bar to the LCA and it's vertical. Well there's a nut on the top and bottom of this rod. The stud coming out of the rod goes down through the LCA and that's where the nut is. Well this nut was loose on the driver side. I got under the truck and had my g/f bounce the truck up and down til I could find where the noise was coming from. So after tightening that up all is well as far as that clunking.
For the vibrations when braking... no clue.
oh 2wd BTW

The nut and bar that they probably forgot to tighten probably go to your sway bar. The sway bar goes across the front of the frame and attach to the lca with a vertical bar with rubber bushings at the top and bottom. Sometimes, to be honest with you, I've replaced my pads and rotors on mine and everything else is tight, I still get a vibration when braking. It's not too bad, but you do notice it. Good you found the clunking noise. Did they only replace the one ball joint on the truck?
