Default got some new parts today

came home to find my Rough Country leveling kit on the porch. 2.5" in the front and 1.5" in the rear with new shocks and blocks. does anyone else have this kit or have any experience with it? it should hopefully be going on tomorrow evening.

Don't forget to re torque the rear u bolts after driving a while. I would do 100 miles then check them then go 500 and check them. If they are legit then you sir will have no problems with your blocks.

your going to need a spring compressor to put those shocks on. Hopefully the ride quality will not coincide with name brand

ETA: just read through the directions and they dont list the factory torque specs. does anybody have those?

As as alternative to this, I have used a 2" wide ratching tie-down strap hooked to the engine mount and the LCA and ratchet-ed enough to do what I needed to do.

well guys, i finally got around to putting the kit on this weekend, well, half of it atleast. it tok us 10 hrs to put those damn spacers in the front. ive never in my life seen bolts with so much loctite. the rear will have to wait until we get another free saturday. we got one shock off and just decided to put it back on and wait. the truck is level now though. the directions say 1-3 hrs to install. that a bunch of bull****. we went and got a spring compressor and it didnt work, so with a ratchet strap and some muscle, we got the front struts back into place. now it needs an alignment and it'l be good until next time. here's a before and after.

Looks good, but not quite level imo. Maybe 1" blocks would be better in the rear now? Plus, not too sure, but maybe the spacers will 'settle' a bit, bringing'er down a bit.....

Regardless, it looks better for sure. I can't wait to b!tch and complain while doing mine
