Default Thermometer in truck reads 130F???? It's Winter!!

I did a few things to the truck today, and now the thermometer in my display reads 130F. Here is what I did:

Cleaned throttle body.
Replaced IAT as I broke head off old on.
Replaced EGR.
Added EGR baffle.
Reset PCM.
I did all this with negative terminal off.

Truck runs and sounds great, no CEL or anything. Any ideas?

Truck is a 2005 Ram Hemi, 3rd Strike Intake with TB spacer, and a custom cat back, single in, double out Magnaflow (this was put on last week). I do have a Superchips 3815, but truck is at stock, I do that whenever I make a mod, wait a week, then program.

Are you talking about the overhead console? If so that displays the outside air temperature not the interior temp. The sensor is most likely defective and needs to be replaced. Also throw out that throttle body spacer its doing nothing but hurting your performance.

I have driven about an hour since it satarted readig 130. It is about 40 here. Yes, it is the one showing outside temp.

Is the TB spacer really more bad than good? It came free with the 3rd Strike Intake.

Isn't the temperature sensor somewhere near the hood release? Maybe you nicked the wire or pulled it off?

While it's possible for the sensor to go bad, having it happen (assuming it was working before) at the same time you were doing other maintenance is a bit suspect...

Now this makes complete sense. Had a little mishap while working on truck. It was in garage with hood up and a shop light in the engine bay. Father came home and put door up (I had run out in another car) which ended up slamming hood down but there was no visible damage or alignment issue, but sounds like it could have unhooked or damaged sensor. THANK YOU.

Default Update

Probe and plug look fine, but after I unplugged it and plugged it back in, I got a CEL. Checked the code:

P0073
Ambient Air Temp Sensor Circuit High
