Well my tranny went out on me I don't know what exactly is wrong yet it just will not go into gear at all. Any body have any suggestions on either rebuilding or a new one or buying a used one from a wreckin yard. or does any body know any tranny shops in san diego

well, im assuming since you have the 5.9l you have the 46re tranny. i had the same setup in my durango. tranny was rebuilt 3 different times. and people complain about the 545rfes we have in our 3rd gens now, HA.

where are you in san diego? if you are up in north county, there are two good places i know of. Eddys Automotive up in Oceanside does great work, and theres another place here in O'side, the name of it slips my mind right now though. (neither of those places did the 3 rebuilds on my durango)

Thanks for the info but I'm down in Point Loma, so that's a bit far to tow it for repairs. Thanks anyway for the info. Can you tell me roughly how much it costs to get a rebuild done on these trannys?
