What do I do?

That word is where your problems started. Walking out of the dealer with assumptions of what you are getting in the deal is a big mistake.

Yep, well, lesson learned I suppose. I remember it was the BIG DEAL that they were able to find me a warranty that was going to get me to 100,000 miles; my father was right there to hear it. As I was signing the papers I kept asking him to make sure that the 7 year/72,000 miles was in ADDITION to what it had now, and he kept saying, "yes, it starts from today". Bad business on their behalf.

Perhaps I will do that. I'd much rather keep this truck until 80,000 miles before selling it...not 55,000 miles and/or in 1.5 years. I want my vehicle that I own to be warrantied as long as I own it. I love my truck, A LOT, but I will never own a vehicle again that isn't warrantied; there's no way I will let my truck lay in the hands of mechanical shops with absolutely no checks and balances. And yes, I know how to do basic things on my truck (my twin brother is very talented and has taught me new things), but I don't have a desire to be working on major repairs.

I used to get a new vehicle for the ex wife every 3 years so she'd always have a bumper to bumper going. Also with her three Grand Cherokees, the dealer did free oil changes for 3 years, so basically I never had to touch her vehicles. Always got 36 month financing so they would be paid off and we'd go get another.
It was nice to always have a warranty, bumper to bumper in her case. But I've always modded my trucks myself and have had warranty issues in the past. I had to hire an attorney when my '97 Furd had the engine go with 14k miles on it and the dealer initially refuse warranty because I had a cat-back exhaust on the thing.

Honestly, I can't say that I really appreciate you minimizing my decision making as a 20 year old. In my opinion, I am much more mature and intelligent than most people of my age group. I think I've made a smart decision by establishing credit early in my years; it was a great accomplishment for myself when the bank preapproved me for $15,000 to buy a new truck without a co-sign. It's not like I don't have any experience with unwarrantied vehicles because up until March of 2009, our family owned 8 vehicles; all of which had over 100,000 miles and weren't under warranty. The result was a never ending repair bill for all of the vehicles, it was becoming outrageous. My previous dodge ram truck was riddled with endless repair bills, ranging from starters, o2 sensors, a rear axle overhaul, and an entire transmission. So I have tried going that route. Sure, my truck runs great now because it only has 37,000 miles, but it's when the truck has to actually be tested against real time and mileage is when things can start to get bad fast....something I am not willing to gamble on again.
