Default Need to know tire question asap

Alright well I originally ordered a 2.5" leveling kit, 20" XD Rockstar wheels in 8.5" width with 10mm offset, and Nitto Terra Grappler 305/50R20 tires. I plan on adding a 6" suspension lift around March/April and after going to a local off roading shop and talking for a while the guy was saying if I add a lift later on with bigger tires I'd have to get new wheels since the Rockstars have an offset of 10mm and I'd need something negative like -12mm.

So I canceled my order and ordered the 20" XD Rockstar wheels in the 10" width with a -24mm offset and Nitto Terra Grappler 305/55R20 tires instead of the 305/50R20 size. So after all this I have 3 questions.

1. Will my tires rub with the leveling kit and 305/55R20 tires?

2. Is it true I'd need a wheel with a negative offset in order for bigger tires and lift to fit?

3. With the 305/55R20 Nitto Terra Grappler tires and 20" XD Rockstar wheels with a -24mm offset will it look goofy on my truck if the tires stuck out about 3" in the mean time till I get my lift and bigger tires?

I need to know soon before I head back up there in around a hour and half. Any advice would be very much appreciated.

-Thanks

no i dont think they will rub with your kit, if they do it shouldnt be bad.
yes you need a 0-negative offset with a lift bc unless you go with a super narrow tire they would rub on your spindle. i had that problem.
they shouldnt stick out but about 1.5 to 2 in my 41s on a -25 offset rim and a spacer only stuck out 3in

That's only a 33.2" x 12" tire, you should have no problem at all and won't stick out much if anything past the wheel well.

Backspacing and offset are critical when fitting a tire/wheel combination into a wheel well. Especially for the 06+ coil over front ends.

Thanks guys for the quick responses, now I know what to do. Just wondering though, could I go with a bigger tire with the leveling kit? Or will the 305/55R20 Nitto Terra Grapplers be big enough until I get my lift and tires?

305/55 are wider but shorter than the tires you just had. stock size is 275/60

if you are getting a lift with 305 55 20 tires, the tires will look way to small, there will be to much space, there is no need for a lift or level with that size, i wouldnt mess with the suspension unless you go to a 35 12.5 size tire, 305 50 20 is like q 31 inch tire which is smaller than stock, just 30 mm wider

I'm selling these tires when I get my lift and getting at least a 35" tire, I might get 37" if I get a body lift too but we'll see. I mostly wanted a leveling kit in the mean time for looks, I'd rather have that nice even stance than a slanted one. One more question though, how would a 305/55R20 tire compare to a 33X12.50R20 tire?

the first number is the width in mm, the second number is the sidewall, the bigger the number, the more sidewall, it is thje percent of the tire that is the sidewall, and the third is the wheel size
