The clips for the doors on my old 98 were 6 dollars a piece, and when you need 10 per door...

My local Ace Hardware is advertising they can sell you the fob, or newer style key or whatever and program it provided you have a working one, for $60 total. I only have one fob for my Jeep (and a spare that will only get me in the door if I lock my key inside) and have been thinking about getting one there.
They say they can clone any key from any make thru the '09s...

That's why you get a spare before losing a key. if you have 2 originally programmed keys(which you will once the dealer does their thing) you can program a spare key. You must have both original programmed keys as just one isn't enough...Hammer...Gotta have two chipped keys...

I actually have to go by there tomorrow, I may stop in and check it out. When I went in for the $1 key to be cut to get in the door and the guy showed me the new computerized setup, I explained about only having the one key/fob and he said "no problem", so now I'm curious...

I actually only have one chipped key. My only problem was on the rare occasions where I locked my keys in the truck's ignition. I know sounds weird, but I've done it. All I wanted was a spare door key. Went to Home Depot, the guy didn't wanna cut me a key. I made him do it. N now, I have a "hide a key" hidden on my vehicle so when I do lock the keys in the truck, I can now save myself about $75 bucks from not having to call the locksmith. LOL. Key only cost me about $2.
