speaker mounting depth help

Default speaker mounting depth help

im going to upgrade my **** factory infinity system but i need to know the mounting depth of the front door speakers and the rear door speakers. yeah i could rip off the panels but its way easier to ask someone on here. if anyone has this info thanks in advance

i dont have the rear 5.25, i trashed them but the 6x9 are 3.25 deep from the screw face. i just measured.

sweet thanks ok that sucks is there room on the face/panel side to maybe add a 1/2 inch spacer?the 6x9 i want ar just under 4. well ice no the system isnt **** but its not at all what i want. i like mine ear bleeding loud and ive already achieved that on the low side but the infinity system just cant handle what im putting it to. im installing an eclipse 1200.4 amp just for the mids and highs



and yes oldirty in on pendleton.

hey ok hows the btoty comin? i voted for you. fortunately for you im not running lol

I think the ifinity system is junk. When I upgrade mine I plan on offering the speakers on here for the sole price of shipping. But don't get to excited folks, even though I have a nice alpine setup on hand, It is cold here and I am really really sluggish in the cold.

here is what i used i think the board was 5/8 thick. it worked fine. there is still room for more there



and just if you need it. i ran all new wires but i have this on hand

Hope this helps and as others have done we have PLENTY of space in front of our mounting surface to put a spacer onto to increase our overall depth.

awesome thanks for your help oki. does anyone happen to know where the stock infinity amp is located? im assuming its under the pass seat. thats where my other amp is going so it figures ill have to rip out the infinity one lol
