Default Factory dodge warranty questions

So when I brought my 07 ram at dealer with 23,000 miles, the bumper to bumper was going to end. So I payed the dealer 2,000 extra for the full 8 years 80,000 miles Warranty to make sure I was Covered bumper to bumper. This is from dodge. I asked the sale person if putting aftermarket parts on it would void warranty like hids, intake and exhaust and leveling kit. He said not to worry those things are covered. So, having those parts on, am I really covered. Who has aftermarket parts like that and still go to dealer and they cover the truck under warranty. I just dont know if our sale rep just wanted us to buy the truck right then in there and just told us off or if he was really telling me the correct info. what do you think. And ues I have all the paper work saying that im covered for the 8 years 80,000 miles. lol.

i think the only way it wouldnt be covered is the damage occured was caused directly by the aftermarket part

+2

in other words, if you installed HIDs and they caused the FCM to go out then yeah, maybe that wont fly.

But if you installed HIDs and the timing chain snaps then those have nothing to do with each other and no reason not to repair the damage

Yep you have only voided the warranty on the parts that you removed unless the new parts cause something else to fail.
