Default good underhood ignition source?

I'm almost done w/ my EFAN install...I just don't know a good ignition only 12v source to run to the relay. If I ran a wire into the cab then no problem but that seems like a waste of time and wire.

Cigar lighter. Pretty sure it is a keyed 12v and never really gets used for anything.

I agree about the cig lighter, but he doesn't want to run a wire into the cab. Start probing your fusebox with a test light....

He can jump off the cigar lighter fuse in the fuse box under the hood.

A multi-meter is your friend! I metered mine out and plugged it in here. It's switched for sure and obviously has enough juice as I've had my fan in since late '06 with no issues.

nice...thanks guys. it's all done and works great! I also removed the fan shroud and got an aftermarket coolant reservoir just to kinda tidy things up. I deleted the windshield washer to.

I used the same plug hammer did for my lights so the relay can only be triggered with the ignition on.

What efan did you use. I need to start seriously looking into this.
