Default Xmas Torque Converter

Okay guys i have decided what i am buying myself for Xmas... I am buying a torque converter from AIRRAM.COM http://www.airram.com/parts.php?categoryid=819

But there are 3 to choose from for my 2007 ram 5.7 4x4. Any ideas on which would fit my truck the best. More for power and acceleration.

The Edge has a good reputation. Most important thing to remember is, even though the temptation to get a race converter is there, they are not very "streetable" and are just a down right hindrance for a daily driver. So keep that in mind when choosing one...

If you are buying a converter, you shoul call whichever manufacturer you are going with and tell them your mods. Then they can recommend the right converter for you and your truck.

From what I've seen, you have to choose the right converter for your axle ratio. That's probably why they have several to choose from.

your torque converter wont lock up and get you going until after 3000rpms or so. when you are driving around town/stop and go traffic, that would be a pain in the ***.

Great way to suck down gas and wear down your tranny?

Btw, looks like you're in the Marines. What do you do out there on Oceanside?

Absolutely not true. You will still be able to drive around with absolutely no problems. Mine is set to 2700 but I start moving well before that and I drive stop and go traffic everyday. There is an internal clutch inside the converter that will make it lock up under light driving conditions.

For the OP you need to call the manufacturer and get tell them your mods and future mods so they can get the right stall and hp rating for you. I would not go over a 2800 stall though unless you are doing some serious power adders.
