Default Anybody here running E85??

Anybody here running E85?? I dont need to hear about how corrosive it is or anything like that. I dont have time to argue about little things like that. I just want to know who is using E85 and how long they have been using it and what they use to tune with. Thanks

What year model and engine are you driving . . . edit your profile a bit so it'll so on the top right of your posts. Helps us get a quick idea of what you're driving when you ask questions as per this one and future ones if you continue your stay here ^^

Other than that, GL and I'm sure at least 1 or 2 will chime in saying they do, but not too many I'd assume.

if you have a hemi, the manual states that 89 octance should be used. if you arent using 89 or higher gasoline, then good luck.

I have a buddy that mixes it with regular 87 and he seems to like it. He gets slightly poorer gas milage using e85 but total fuel price comes out cheaper than if he ran 92.

its strictly for performance and not at all for saving a few dollars.

I have friends that own 90-94 mitsubishi eclipse awd turbo and they put e85 in and have no problems. They get around 40hp increase with a good tune. Alot of them are pushing 700-900 hp on the holset turbo.

Corn is for eatin" not fuel
Too much octane is a bad thing unless you have lots of compression or boost. Ran 104 octane in the stang and it slowed down because it is harder to burn. Not worth the risk.

I thought only flex fuel (4.7L) engines could only do e85

Yeah, only the 4.7L Rams can run E85 and have the PCM to tune it correctly. He's a rebel I guess.
