Default Want to make a 2006 Ram 2WD better for Off Road

I have a 2006 Dodge Ram sport 2wd and I was wandering how I could make it better for off road. I know tires. but I was wandering if theres anything I Could do. or how much would it cost to convert to 4x4

I havent priced it but I'm sure it would be alot better just to trade yours for a 4x4 if you want a 4x4.

As far as making yours better, a level, bodylift, and 35's would make a big difference.

2wd will never be great offroad with a truck. there just isnt enough weight back there. its FAR more cost effective to sell yours and get a 4x4.

+1 trade it for a 4x4 is the best thing to make it offroad ready

yea, with an open diff you'll never make it too far in sticky situations.

Woah, woah, woah, lets not start this up again. 2wd's can be downright AMAZING offroad.

To the OP- what exactly are you trying to do offroad with the truck?

I'm in the same boat. You see the specs in my sig. I never saw a point in getting M/T's or a lift on a 2wd truck because I figured you'd get stuck anyways and look even more like a fool...
My truck has an LSD, it's stock so it might not be great. I just need some solid suggestions on what kind of tires to get. Cooper LTZ, Nitto Terras, Toyos? Anything else?

nice thing about the 2wd is the ability to put in the 4.88 gears
