Yup, thats what its for. If I had a 2WD I'd have one for sure. No need to store a bunch of wood and sand in the summer (or buy them every year), when you could just drain it out, fold it up and store it.
Or you could just mix some antifreeze or windshield washer fluid in it to keep from freezing. At least with it frozen, there isn't a chance of sloshing around.

If you make all your measurements right, it wont move a bit (i've done this before). if for some reason it does move, you didnt build it right (no offense implied). Make your decision then if you want to screw it down
Agreed! No holes! If you build it correctly, it'll never move around.
