so my wife was backing around a furd today and cut it a little to close and scraped my bumper on a piece of pipe sticking out of the ground, i have a painted bumper on a 04 ram and it put 5-6 thread marks from the pipe about 5 inches under my right head light and about 4 inches long diddnt rip the plastic but gouged it pretty good. any ideas on how to fix it..............cheaply

 

how deep did it go? to primer? to metal? into the metal? A picture here would be the best way for us to help you fix this. Worst case scenario there are detailing/auto body shops that specialize in touch ups that do not involve a full panel paint. Prices are about 1 or 2 bills.

 

no it went through my gray paint and into black plastic its not deep at all just ugly

 

Its gonna be a real skank do do it on your own in volving many steps of sanding, light primer, paint, and blending clear. In this case I would just find one of those professional touch up shops and get it done there. Often they will have demo pieces that will show you how well they can blend blemishes.
